Madison – Quick Notes
May Look Back:When the Midwest Truck Series visited Madison International Speedway back in May for the Joe Shear Classic, it was Eugene Gregorich III who scored his first career win. Gregorich currently sits third in the standings, trailing points leader Grant Griesbach by 89 points.
Fast Time Momentum:Derek Meyer picked up his first-ever Six08 Graphics Fast Time Award at Madison in May. Since then, the Legends.Direct driver has continued his momentum—grabbing fast time honors again and securing a win at Golden Sands Speedway on Memorial Day.
Career Bests at Jefferson:It was a weekend to remember at Jefferson Speedway:
Robbie Rucks earned his first Midwest Truck Series win in the Barnyard to Brickyard 50.
Austin Warner finished 6th, marking a career-best finish.
Rookie Battle Heating Up:With his Jefferson victory, Robbie Rucks now leads the Legends.Direct Rookie of the Year standings by just 4 points over Scott Ciesielski.
In May, Rucks finished 8th at Madison.
Ciesielski crossed the line in 15th.
Warner Seeks Redemption:In May, Austin Warner was unable to compete after a violent crash during Saturday practice. His team hustled to get the truck ready for the following race in Cedar Rapids, but the wreck ultimately forced him to miss the Joe Shear Classic. This weekend marks his first race at Madison this season.
Ace Set to Return:After missing several events due to injury, Chester Ace is set to make his return behind the wheel of the No. 93. The veteran driver heads back to a familiar battleground, Madison International Speedway, where he holds the record for most Midwest Truck Series wins in the modern era.
Ace was sitting second in points at the time of his injury and will look to recapture the momentum he had before being sidelined. All eyes will be on the No. 93 as he aims to make a statement in his comeback race.
Hard Charger on the Move:Nobody has passed more trucks this season than Nick Quinnel. At the halfway mark, he leads the Forgotten Coast K9 Hard Charger standings with 22 total trucks passed, averaging a +5.5 position gain per race.
Consistency Is Key:Brandon Reichenberger hasn’t finished outside the top 10 in 21 consecutive races. The old adage rings true: To finish first, you must first finish.
Deadlocked at 4.3:Championship contenders Grant Griesbach and Brandon Reichenberger both boast an average finish of 4.3 through the first 7 events. They’re separated by just 18 points, a title fight that’s far from over.
Wabam Mid-Summer Shootout – Round 216 of the best in the Midwest Truck Series return to Madison International Speedway for Round 2 of the Wabam Mid-Summer Shootout, presented by AJ’s Small Engines and Jim Bentzler.
Only one driver will be crowned Mid-Summer Shootout Champion at Dells Raceway Park in August, and with it, claim the coveted $1,000 cash bonus prize. The battle heats up this weekend in Madison!
A Historic Return – Race #33:This weekend marks the 33rd visit to Madison International Speedway—the birthplace of the Midwest Truck Series. Returning to the high-banked half-mile in Oregon, Wisconsin is always a special occasion.
Swanson Returns:2021 Champion Tristan Swanson returns to the series, making his first start since Oktoberfest 2024. Driving the Bill Larson-owned truck, Swanson has one win in two career Truck starts at Madison.
