Large List of Clutch Energy Rookies lead Midwest Truck Series into Icebreaker

Sunday April 10th the Midwest Truck Series returns to Dells Raceway Park for the Icebreaker. 36 Trucks look to take battle for 50 laps at the always racy 1/3rd mile. 12 of those 36 trucks are Clutch Energy Rookie of the Year candidates.

A quartet of legend car drivers join the Midwest Truck Series in 2022. Aaron Moyer and Dillon Schwanbeck both were top notch legend drivers in Wisconsin on the pavement and are now looking to take their talents to the full size Trucks. Tye Wilke and Ryan Braseth also join the series with past legend car experience on the dirt. Both drivers competed at the Red River Valley Speedway in North Dakota last year. With Wilke being crowned the champion there and Braseth finishing third.

Also new to the series is Kevin Berg. Although Berg is new to the series he has plenty of experience. Berg is a former competitor in the Sportsman/Super Stock division. Another new rookie is Dillon Scott. Scott is a former hobby stock driver that looks to work his way up the ranks.

Tyler Hansen has thrown his name into the Rookie of the Year championship chase in 2022. Hansen competed last year in the MisFits division at Madison International Speedway and will look to beat his dad Russ both on the track and in the standings in 2022.

Five other drivers who competed with the trucks in 2021 but did not compete in enough events to lose their rookie status are going to compete on the full schedule in 2022. Those drivers are Nick Quinell, Kevin Zielezinski, Eugene Gregorich III, Alex Braseth and Sean Eurick.

New to the series but have had past racing experience in late model competition or above are Jay Foster, Nick Roehl, Tom Gee Jr, Dave Tomczak and Brandon Reichenberger. Foster is a former veteran in late model competition in the Chicagoland area. Roehl has run at tracks across the state of Wisconsin like Slinger and Dells Raceway Park. Tom Gee Jr has raced in the Super Lates at Wisconsin International Raceway and Norway. Brandon Reichenberger is a former champion of the quarter mile late model division at Wisconsin International Raceway. He also races on the half mile at WIR in the Late Model division.

Randy Sargent will be making his Midwest Truck Series debut at Dells Raceway Park after competing in late models around the state and in his 602 Late Model. Last but not least is veteran driver Dave Tomczak. Dave was a competitor in the ARTGO Challenge Series back in the day as well as the ASA National Series.
