JEFFERSON SPEEDWAY - QUICK NOTES

Updated: Jul 23

Griesbach Leads the Way

Grant Griesbach has led the point standings after five of the first six events in 2025. With two wins, two fast times, and consistent speed, he’s proving himself to be a strong title contender.

Brandon Reichenberger Doing Brandon Reichenberger Things

Currently second in points, just 16 behind the leader, Brandon Reichenberger is once again showing why he's always a threat. Last season, he didn’t take over the point lead until August. This year, his worst finish so far is seventh at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids, IA. Reichenberger has been the model of consistency—his last finish outside the top 10 came 20 races ago at the 2023 Howie Lettow Classic at Madison International Speedway.

Gregorich Quietly in Third

Eugene Gregorich III picked up his first career win at Madison earlier this season—a major confidence boost. However, a mix of tough luck and on-track incidents has slowed the start for the 1W team. With several strong tracks coming up, the Wisz Racing group is still very much in the mix.

Curts Poised for a Run?

Clay Curts sits fourth in points with a win at Marshfield to his credit. In his first year with the series, he now enters a stretch of tracks he’s more familiar with—setting up an opportunity to close the gap in the championship chase.

9-6-9-6: Knuese’s Steady Climb

Kevin Knuese’s last four finishes (9th, 6th, 9th, and 6th) have helped him secure fifth in the standings. A seasoned veteran of the series, Knuese knows what it takes to win—and has the speed to prove it.

Don’t Count Out Swan

It’s been a rough start for James Swan, who finds himself 142 points back in the standings—one of the slowest starts to a season in his Truck Series career. But if there’s anyone who can claw back into contention, it’s Swan. A few seasons ago, he made up over 100 points going into the final race to challenge for the title. With nine events still on the schedule, don’t count out the No. 97 just yet.

Legends.Direct Rookie Battle Heating Up

Scott Ciesielski currently leads the Legends.Direct Rookie of the Year standings by 45 points over Robbie Rucks. However, with three of the final nine races at Rucks’ home track, Jefferson Speedway, this battle is far from over. Derek Meyer became the first rookie to win in the series since Tristan Swanson in 2021. Despite missing Hawkeye Downs, Meyer sits just 56 points out of the lead. The Team of Eric Wisz and Ryan Schroeder have been steadily improving while 14 year old Georgia hot shoe Austin Warner is starting to get comfortable as he proved with his driver from 19th to 8th at Marshfield just a couple of races ago. Anne Green will return to Jefferson Speedway where she first jumped into a truck propelling her into her rookie campaign.

Wabam Mid-Summer Shootout Begins

Round one of the Wabam Mid-Summer Shootout kicks off at Jefferson Speedway, with drivers in positions 13–20 going head-to-head. Last year, Jefferson shook up the standings by eliminating several heavy hitters. This year, it’s wide open as drivers look to advance toward the $1,000 bonus, presented by Wabam, AJ’s Small Engines, and Jim Bentzler.

First-Time Magic at Jefferson

Jefferson Speedway has a knack for making dreams come true. In just 12 Midwest Truck Series events at Wisconsin’s Action Track, six drivers have earned their first career wins: Casey Johnson, Mike Corvo III, Todd Kluever, John Ovadal Jr., Dylan Schuyler, and Kevin Zielezinski. The tight, challenging bullring continues to live up to its reputation—delivering unforgettable first-time victories and proving that anything can happen at Jefferson.

Pit Crew BBQ Dash4Cash Continues

The second leg of the 2025 Pit Crew BBQ Dash4Cash takes place at Jefferson Speedway. The top four eligible drivers (those who have competed in 75% of the season) will qualify to battle for a $250 bonus next week at Madison International Speedway. While James Swan has historically dominated this contest, Grant Griesbach has been the one collecting the cash as of late.

Up Next

After Jefferson Speedway, the Midwest Truck Series hits the road with the ASA Midwest Tour. Upcoming events include Madison International Speedway, Wisconsin International Raceway, Grundy County Speedway, and Dells Raceway Park. Fans can purchase tickets in advance or follow all the action live on TrackTV.
