Midwest Truck Series Championship Comes Down to Falloween 50 at Dells Raceway Park

(Sun Prairie, WI) - A familiar storyline will play out this Saturday as the Midwest Truck Series heads to Dells Raceway Park for the final race of the 2026 season. A field of 26 trucks is expected for the Falloween 50, with the series championship once again coming down to the final race of the year.
Once again, the top five in points is filled with former champions and season standouts, with plenty still to be decided before the final checkered flag of 2026.
Tristan Swanson enters the weekend with a 38-point advantage over Eugene Gregorich III as he looks to claim his second Midwest Truck Series championship. Swanson won the title in 2021 driving his family owned truck, capping off a five-win season with a victory at Dells Raceway Park in the season finale.
This year has been a different story for Swanson. Driving for Trevor Raskie's ThirtyOne Motorsports team, Swanson wasn't originally scheduled to compete for the entire season. After winning three of the first four races, Raskie made the decision to give Swanson a shot at running for the championship. That decision has paid off, with the team entering the final race of the season at the top of the points standings.
Gregorich III and the Wisz Racing team have been among the most consistent combinations in the series over the past several seasons. After finishing third in the championship standings in both 2024 and 2025, EG3 has another opportunity to claim his first series title. The team heads to Dells Raceway Park with some momentum after picking up the Six08 Graphics Fast Time Bullet at Oktoberfest just two weeks ago.
With 125 points available between qualifying, heat races, and the feature, EG3 will need to make the most of every opportunity on Saturday. A maximum of 15 points is available in qualifying, another 10 in the heat races, and 100 to the feature winner. With 38 points to make up, EG3 can't afford to leave many points on the table.
For Swanson, the approach is a little different. The ThirtyOne Motorsports driver controls his own destiny, but staying out of trouble will be just as important as running up front. The difference between finishing third and 18th in the feature is 41 points, more than Swanson's current championship advantage. A mistake, mechanical issue, or getting caught up in someone else's accident could quickly change the championship picture. Swanson doesn't necessarily need to win Saturday's Falloween 50 to claim the championship, but he can't afford to have a bad day either.
Brown opened the 2026 season with a victory in the Icebreaker 50 at Dells Raceway Park and now returns to the same track sitting 59 points out of the championship lead. While Brown faces an uphill battle, he remains mathematically alive heading into the final race of the season.
For the drivers sitting fourth and fifth in the standings, the 2026 season has been filled with plenty of "what ifs."
Grant Griesbach and the Lynch Racing No. 60 team struggled early in the season while getting a handle on their new truck. Since then, the team has shown speed nearly everywhere they've unloaded. Griesbach enters the finale looking to close out the season with a strong run after showing throughout the second half of the year that the team has the speed to compete up front.
For back-to-back Series Champion Brandon Reichenberger, 2026 has been one of those seasons that can best be described as "that's racing." After winning the last two series championships, Reichenberger and the No. 3 team have battled through a frustrating season. They enter the Falloween 50 with an opportunity to move into fourth in the final standings, but more importantly, looking for a solid run to build on heading into 2027.
With a championship to decide, positions still up for grabs in the final standings, and 26 trucks expected to compete, the Falloween 50 will bring another Midwest Truck Series season to a close at Dells Raceway Park.
Championship weekend begins Friday with practice from noon until 5 p.m. Saturday's schedule gets underway with qualifying at 12:30 p.m., followed by racing at 2 p.m.
