A cool afternoon provided the backdrop for the Midwest Truck Series as 33 trucks were on hand to practice for Sunday’s Joe Shear Classic 36 presented by Bullseye Games.

Eugene Gregorich III posted the fastest lap of the afternoon with a time of 18.870. Gregorich likes Madison as this is the track where he recorded his first qualifier award and first Midwest Truck Series victory in 2024.

Chester Ace was second quickest with a time of 18.908 seconds. Ace comes back to his home track with the hopes of picking up the victory for his mother, who recently passed away.

Blake Brown was third on the board with a time of 18.984. Brown, who won the season opener at Dells Raceway Park, is a former truck division champion at Madison.

Grant Griesbach and Aaron Moyer rounded out the top five.

Action gets underway on Sunday with qualifying at 12:45 p.m. and racing at 2 p.m.
